As the new page of Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises, Niger Delta, LIFE-ND, begins with a 3-year Additional Financing, by the International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD, the National Project Coordinator, Engr. Dr Sanni Abiodun, has stressed the strict adherence to IFAD Ethics and Code of Conduct.
Dr Abiodun disclosed this in a virtual meeting comprising six IFAD-sponsored states of the Niger Delta on October 6, 2025.

The Project National Coordinator harped on the highest ethical standard and compliance with IFAD policies on preventing fraud, corruption, sexual harassment and exploitation, noting that IFAD reserves zero tolerance for any member of staff who falls short of the policies and guidelines.
He equally advised staffers not only to maintain boundaries and space, but also to recuse themselves from any conflict of interest, including cohesive tendencies and manipulation activities.
He advised project parties to report any infractions of this nature for appropriate sanctions and other dire consequences, stressing that the policy does not exclude consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

The Abia LIFE-ND State Project Coordinator, Uchenna Rowland Onyeizu, Ph.D, CEnv, who tagged the the briefing as "one of the routines of IFAD", at any beginning of its projects' implementation, stressed IFAD consciousness to the policies and guidelines, noting that the document does not respect status, "cleaner, gateman, support staff and core staff, even the State Project Coordinator."
"The LIFE-ND management is very conscious of that. That was why we brought out two hours of today as a workshop across all six IFAD-sponsored states", he said.
He advised members of staff to also follow the sequence of the reporting hierarchy before escalating any infractions to other levels of justice delivery.

The National Coordinator, Admin and Logistics, Mrs Ngozi Ohaechesi, who was in the state to oversee the selection process of new beneficiaries, revealed that the meeting was to re-emphasise the importance the funders attach to the guidelines and policies, adding that the document was part of the contract document endorsed at the staffers point of entry.
"It's already in the Project Implementation Manual, PIM, Admin Manual", she said.
The Additional Financing is the upshot of the LIFE-ND Project's excellent performance in the last six years, having empowered more than 4000 beneficiaries, including youths, women-headed households and physically challenged persons, for food security and sustainable income in the state.the
